Golubac fortress

In the National Park “Djerdap”, on the right bank of the blue Danube, on high cliffs, the Golubac fortress is located. It was mentioned for the first time in historical records in 1335 as a Hungarian military fort, and only in the second half of the 19th century did it fall to the Serbs. Today, the reconstructed fortress is a cultural monument that remembers the distant past and has withstood the test of time, and from the 4th pedestrian zone it is suitable for both recreational and extreme sports fans.

Tumane Monastery

Tumane Monastery was built in the 14th century, as an endowment of Milosh Obilic. It is surrounded by a beautiful forest and mountains, and the Tuman River flows by it. It is dedicated to Saint Zosimos Sinait, because the relics of this saint are kept there, and it is widely known among the people as a holy place where believers pray for a quick recovery.

Promenade and bicycle path

In Golubac, along the banks of the Danube, there is a 7 km long walking and cycling path that allows visitors a real active vacation. For lovers of hiking, there are three hiking trails with a magical view of the river and the fortress.
